The brand-new season of the Max60 Caribbean League is ready to commence on August 18 and concludes on August 25. Cayman Islands Cricket Association (CICA) has organized the tournament for one week in a T10 format.

During these eight days, the tournament hosts 24 games, thereby providing a platform for local players to compete against world-class players to sharpen their skills and gain the best experience.

Moreover, the league features veteran cricketers such as David Warner, Sunil Narine, Shoaib Malik, Sikandar Raza, and Dwayne Bravo. Additionally, the former Indian players such as Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu along with English cricketers such as Ravi Bopara and Alex Hales. 

Five different teams namely Caribbean Tigers, Boca Raton Trailblazers, Grand Cayman Jaguars, New York Strikers, and Miami Lions are set to compete in a dynamic-paced T10 league to win the inaugural trophy of the tournament.

All the matches of the Max60 will be played at the Jimmy Powell Oval Cricket Ground in West Bay, Grand Cayman near the city of George Town.

Out of the five teams, the top three teams of the league stages will enter the Super Three round as the tournament will follow a double-robin format, where five teams will compete twice against each other.

Max60 Caribbean League Rules: Game Duration, Powerplay Overs, Strategic Timeout

Here are the important rules of the Max60 Caribbean T10 League you need to know about:

1. Match Duration:

To ensure the fast-paced nature of the T10 format, all the matches of the Max60 Caribbean League are limited to just 90 minutes.

2. Powerplay Overs:

Out of 10 overs, the first three overs are the batting powerplay overs. During the first two overs, only 2 fielders are allowed outside the 30-yard circle.

Interestingly, the batting side can choose the 3rd powerplay over at any moment of the inning, between the overs three and nine.

3. Strategic Timeout:

Each team is allowed to take a single strategic timeout for two minutes at any moment during their innings.
