Due to the increased use of Al in marketing and more sophisticated monetization techniques, the year saw a considerable increase in user acquisition, ad expenditure, and revenue. IAP (in-app purchases) revenue for iGaming was either very constant or slightly decreasing (for instance, Casino +4%). According to AppsFlyer, the growth in downloads of was 93%, while online casino app downloads grew by 102%.
Total mobile app ad spending grew by 5% year-on-year to $65 billion. At the same time, iGaming companies?casino ad spend fell by 12%. Australia led the way in terms of iGaming ad spend growth (7%), while the US saw a nearly 7% decline. The biggest declines in ad spending were recorded in France (14%) and Japan (23%).
