Playtech agreed to supply poker platform gamification and player engagement tools to the French gaming operator Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU), the leader in the nation’s gaming market.
French gaming operator Pari Mutuel Urbain (abbreviated PMU, which stands for French state-controlled betting system; the French PMU is a collection of economic interests established by the French associations that organize horse races) and Playtech, a gambling software development company founded in 1999 with headquarters in the Isle of Man, have partnered strategically. Playtech company provides software for online poker rooms, online casinos, scratch games, online bingo games, mobile gaming, online sports betting, live dealer games, etc.
With PMU joining the iPoker.EU network and the supplier supporting it with its poker network services and content, this partnership will concentrate on Playtech’s poker skills. In addition to its games and poker tournaments, this acquisition includes Playtech’s gamification of its poker platform and player engagement tools.
Playtech previously entered the French poker sector in July 2023 when it collaborated with La Française des Jeux (FDJ; the operator of France’s national lottery games) to provide its services and content for the operator’s poker network.

According to PMU officials, this partnership would allow them to improve their services, such as multi-vertical access to poker through Turf and Sports Applications, and continuously provide their players with the greatest technology and experience.
